Website privacy

This notice covers clementine.cc, operated by Clementine Inc. For the beta app and learner information, read our app privacy policy. Contact support@clementine.cc with questions or privacy requests.

Optional advertising cookies

If you choose “Allow ad cookies,” we share visits to our home page, clicks on beta-application links and completed applications with Meta. This helps us measure and improve our Facebook and Instagram ads. A link click is not a completed application.

Meta receives information such as the page address and referrer, IP address, browser and device information, and advertising cookie identifiers. Meta may match this activity to your Meta account and use it for advertising under its Privacy Policy. We do not send application answers, email addresses, exercise answers, or app learning records through this integration. Automatic advanced matching and automatic event collection are not enabled.

Advertising starts off. Rejecting cookies does not affect the website or your application. Use “Ad privacy” at the bottom of any page to change your choice. We remember it in this browser for up to 180 days. Withdrawing permission stops browser tracking and clears Clementine’s Meta cookies; the page reloads to stop the tracking software. We also request cancellation of the application reference. If you are offline, that request is retried when you return online or visit again. Withdrawal does not recall information already sent to Meta. You can also manage your information through Meta’s privacy controls.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track keep Meta tracking off even if you previously allowed it. Meta tracking does not run on this privacy page. We do not use a tracking image when JavaScript is disabled.

Website analytics and applications

Separately, Clementine uses first-party, cookieless analytics to understand visits and website interactions. This includes the page path, referring site, campaign tags, broad screen size, and named actions such as opening an FAQ or clicking a beta link. These analytics honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track, and are independent of your ad-cookie choice.

Beta links open Google Forms. Google processes information under its own privacy terms. Information you submit there is used by Clementine to review beta applications and contact applicants.

After you allow ad cookies, we may fill the optional “Application reference” field with a random code. You can leave it blank. This lets Clementine match a confirmed submission to advertising identifiers and send Meta a completed-application event, its time and the Google Form address. We never send your name, email or other application answers to Meta.

We keep the reference and matching browser identifiers for up to seven days. We retain a hashed submission receipt, its time, campaign labels and delivery status for up to 90 days to prevent duplicate events and check campaign results. Unmatched applications remain counted in our application records without sending a Meta conversion. These records are separate from your app learning activity.
